UT Health East Texas EMS announced on Friday an agreement with the city of Frankston to provide emergency medical services. Beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, the organization will be responsible for 911 emergency ambulance services within the city.
John Smith, CEO of UT Health East Texas EMS, said the organization is honored to partner with Frankston and looks forward to building relationships with residents, city leaders and other public safety agencies. The organization said it has worked with city and county officials to coordinate the transition and avoid any interruption in emergency response.
The announcement said the organization has decades of experience in emergency medical response, interfacility transport, critical care transport and community health services across East Texas. Frankston residents will also be eligible to enroll in its membership program, which the organization said helps members with out-of-pocket expenses.
