Taylor Farms of Dallas is recalling the H-E-B Backyard BBQ Chop Salad Kit, which is sold at H-E-B stores across Texas. According to a Tuesday notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the product may contain undeclared soy and tree nuts, specifically almonds. Severe allergic reactions to those ingredients could lead to anaphylaxis, a potentially fatal condition.
The recall covers 13.4-ounce plastic bags. Shoppers can check the back of the package for a best if used by date of Oct. 30, 2026, and UPC code 041220300457. The FDA has published photos of the affected product. Company representatives said that as of Tuesday, no adverse reactions linked to the recalled salads had been reported.
Anyone who bought the recalled kit is advised not to eat it, even if it looks fine. Customers can throw it away or return it to H-E-B for a full refund. Questions can be directed to Taylor Farms at 855-455-0098.
