Texas Southmost College student-athlete Ignacio Ochoa Jr. worked 13-hour construction shifts in Florida, under the hot sun, and still had miles to run, according to Texas Border Business.

Hundreds of miles from his TSC teammates, Ochoa trained on his own and took classes online. He traveled from Florida to meet the Scorpions at races.
