The City of Gladewater has agreed to construct a new chemical treatment building to avoid $24,500 in fines from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), according to KETK.
An order made effective on Oct. 14 says the city failed to comply with TCEQ limitations for its water system. The new building is reported to cost $300,000.
