A jury found Tyler Mark Steel, 33, of Archer City guilty of felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault. The verdict was returned in the early afternoon. The jury was made up of eight men and four women.

After the punishment phase of the trial, the jury sentenced Steel to 30 years in prison, according to the report. The jury also assessed a $10,000 fine for the felony murder conviction. The sentence was handed down on Monday, Nov. 2.
