Odessa Fire Rescue has introduced Community Connect, a new program that lets residents and business owners share information about their homes, properties and specific needs with first responders.
The program is voluntary. Participants may provide details that could help firefighters and other emergency personnel, such as household members who may need extra assistance, pets, property access and other safety considerations.
According to the department, having this information in advance allows first responders to understand potential challenges before arriving and to respond more effectively. Residents can learn more at the City of Odessa's website, odessa-tx.gov/communityconnect.
