AMARILLO, Texas — NewsChannel 10 is covering several local races across the Texas Panhandle and state races for Election Day on Nov. 3. The station said voting locations for Potter and Randall counties are available on its website. For a full list of races in a given area, the station advised residents to contact their local elections clerk.
The Amarillo League of Women Voters has published its 2026 nonpartisan voter guide, which includes candidate responses and positions on key topics. The guide is available in English and Spanish and includes state and local candidates.
Childress ISD has three bonds on the ballot. Claude ISD has Proposition A, which asks voters to approve the district making required recapture payments by buying attendance credits from the state with local tax revenue. The station reported that if voters reject it, the Texas Education Agency would identify a portion of land within Claude ISD to send to a neighboring district, reducing the district's total property value. NewsChannel 10 said it will begin live coverage on Election Day at 7:30 p.m.
