Two new businesses in Amarillo are offering family-focused experiences, according to their owners. Todd Cook, director of The Little Gym, said the facility focuses on movement and safety for children starting at an early age.

Cook said a typical one-hour class includes introductions, movement exercises, music and games planned for each age group. He said the goal is to help children learn how to move properly so they can avoid injury.

Danny Henry, owner of Yellow City Cider, said his tasting room lets visitors sample his products and those sold at local restaurants, along with drinks from other local meaderies. Henry said he considers the space a wholesome environment and hopes more community-focused businesses open in the area.
