Connection Christian Church in Odessa is offering a free four-week grief support class for people grieving the loss of a loved one. The class begins Monday, Nov. 9, and meets each Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the church, 4241 Tanglewood Ln.
Participants will gather to seek God's help and find encouragement from others during a difficult time. Dr. Dawn Weaks, co-pastor of the church, said in a news release, "If you have experienced a loss that you are grieving, you are not alone."
The class is open to anyone in the community, whether or not they belong to the church, and there is no cost to attend. The group will use the book "Lose, Love, Live" as a guide for weekly discussion, and participants may pre-order it. People can contact the church at 432-332-2954 for more information.
