Catholic Charities of Laredo and the Medical Missionaries of Divine Mercy are offering free medical checkups, dental services and vision care during the 16th annual Medical Mission Week. The event runs Nov. 5-9 at the San Luis Rey Church Hall, 3502 Sanders Ave., in Laredo.
Rebecca Solloa of Catholic Charities of Laredo said the event is open to everyone. Spiritual checkups are also available for those who want them. Services run daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Organizers accept preregistration, but it is not required, and walk-ins are welcome. Organizers said registering does not guarantee a set appointment time, but it does guarantee a spot to be seen. People can call Catholic Charities of Laredo at 956-722-2443 for more information.
