Residents planning outdoor Halloween activities should be ready for possible rain and thunderstorms on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS office in Shreveport calls for a 40% to 50% chance of precipitation that day. The forecast shows a high in the upper 70s and a low in the upper 50s.
The chance of rain is expected to increase Friday night and continue through Saturday. The NWS said the timing and amount of any rainfall are still uncertain and conditions could change as the weekend approaches.
The forecast follows several days of warm, mostly dry weather. The NWS expects Tuesday's high to reach the lower 80s, with highs in the mid-80s possible on Wednesday and Thursday.
