The San Augustine Rotary Club will hold a lighting ceremony for its City of Angels display on Saturday, November 21, in San Augustine. The display is at Sassafras Park at the Fussell Cotton Gin. The club said the community is welcome to attend.

The display includes four-foot lighted angels. Each angel is sponsored in honor or memory of a person, a relationship or a life, the club said. The club said the display will be one of three holiday lighting sites in the city, along with the Courthouse Square and the Trail of Lights at Mission Dolores.

The club thanked the City of San Augustine and Josh Ponder for help with the display's electrical needs. The deadline for this year's angel display has passed. The club said orders and sponsorships will continue to be accepted throughout the year for the next City of Angels event. Angel sponsorships cost $275 each. Proceeds benefit the San Augustine Rotary Fund, which the club said supports community and educational projects.
