Terminal C at George Bush Intercontinental Airport was closed to travelers Wednesday after a fire broke out inside the building Tuesday. Firefighters spent about an hour putting out flames that started at a restaurant in the terminal Tuesday afternoon.

The Houston Airport System did not announce any closures or flight changes right after the fire. The agency later said Terminal C would be closed Wednesday morning. Terminal C is used exclusively by United Airlines, and Houston Airports said it is working with the airline to move departures and arrivals to other terminals.

Travelers should check their terminal and gate before going to the airport. It is still unclear how the fire started. The Houston Fire Department's Arson Bureau is investigating.
