Mailers sent to Texas households before the November midterm elections may be connected to Three Z Printing, an Illinois company, according to CBS News. U.S. Postal Service records show the company holds the bulk-mail permit used to send the flyers to more than 1 million Texas addresses. The company is owned by Bill Zerrusen, whose son Matthew lives in Flower Mound. Federal Election Commission records show the family has donated more than $700,000 to Trump-aligned organizations and Republican committees. The records include $125,000 from Bill Zerrusen and $70,000 from Matthew Zerrusen to the Trump 47 Committee in 2024.

The Express-News reported there is no public evidence that the family personally authorized or financed the mailers. Three Z Printing did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The flyers appeared as early voting began and presented themselves as materials from the Texas Transgender Student Union. A CBS News probe found that the organization appears not to exist. The Transgender Education Network of Texas, or TENT, said the mailers used its name, materials and resources without permission. TENT has denied supporting one passage that encouraged young readers to consider emancipating from their parents. TENT is seeking to identify the sender in a petition filed in Travis County. The group said in the filing that the mailers have threatened its leadership and its future. Critics said the mailers were meant to stir outrage toward the transgender community.
