Houston police said a man pointed a gun at two girls, ages 3 and 5, as they played in a driveway in the 7300 block of Tremper Street on Oct. 11. The incident happened just before 11 a.m. The girls' mother told officers they ran inside the home after the man pointed the gun at them.

The mother told police she went outside and saw the man, whom she described as someone from the neighborhood. Police said he was running away while holding a weapon. With help from neighbors, officers located and arrested him, and they later found a weapon nearby in a dumpster.

Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Seth Castillo. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said Castillo had been released from prison in 2025 on parole for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and was out on bond at the time of the incident.
