Dripping Springs ISD received a Superior Achievement rating on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (F.I.R.S.T.), with a score of 98 out of 100. The results were presented to the Dripping Springs Board of Trustees at its Oct. 26 meeting.

Chief Financial Officer Randy Rau said the system began with Senate Bill 875 of the 76th Texas Legislature and was later revised. The system measures financial management and reporting, and it uses 21 indicators in three groups. Rau said the rating is based on the prior year's finances, so the 2025-26 result uses 2024-25 data.

Rau said the district passed, received a "Yes" or earned the highest available points in every category except one. That indicator measures the ratio of current assets to current liabilities. Rau said the district received a perfect 10 on it last year.
