U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton, the current Texas attorney general, will hold a rally in Tyler on Sunday. The free event is at Republic Icehouse, 3807 University Blvd., and doors open at 11 a.m. People can reserve a spot online.

The stop is part of Paxton's "Come and Take It" campaign tour. Paxton had first planned to visit Tyler on Thursday but canceled that stop to rally with JD Vance elsewhere in Texas. Paxton has also appeared in Tyler in February and May, and at a Vance visit to the city in October.

David Stein, chairman of the Smith County Republican Party, said in a statement that Smith County and East Texas have supported Paxton. Paxton's Democratic opponent, state Rep. James Talarico, has also held rallies in Tyler, in October and February.

Voters can cast ballots in the general election on Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
