A red brick Tudor on Lakewood Boulevard in Dallas is about 100 years old. The house was built in the second installment of Country Club Estates after a family bought the lot in 1925. The owner of the plat was listed as W.E. Pearson, with Dallas Trust & Savings Bank as agent.

The family of four moved into the one-story, three-bedroom home on June 22, 1926. The house has a basement and a large attic, which the story describes as unusual for a Dallas home at the time. The story says the head of the household worked as an accountant and later as business manager for Dallas Medical and Surgical Clinic. He retired in 1969 and died in 1975 while living in the house.

The story is written from family memories, according to its account of the home's rooms and early residents. It is the first part of a series.
