Rusty Taco is expanding to the Lakewood Theater, according to The Dallas Morning News. The restaurant is expected to replace DoubleDave's Pizzaworks.
The menu will be smaller but will at least include the bestselling tacos and queso, the report said. Rusty Taco was founded in 2010 by the late Rusty Fenton. The business once changed its name to "R Taco" in the mid-2010s. Its original location in Upper Greenville is still open, and the chain now has multiple locations across the country.
The Lakewood location may open as soon as later this year or in early 2027, according to The Dallas Morning News.
