The new Fort Worth Texas Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Burleson includes a baptismal font set on the backs of 12 oxen, a celestial room, and sealing rooms where couples make promises intended to last for eternity.

For a limited time, the public can walk through the building and see rooms that are normally reserved for church members.

The church says the main purpose of temples is for members to take part in sacred ceremonies, such as marriages that unite families forever, and proxy baptisms for deceased ancestors who were not able to be baptized while living.
