Unofficial results show Potter and Randall counties had nearly 20,000 more voters in the 2026 midterm election than in 2022, with close to 90,000 people voting on Nov. 3. Turnout was about 10,000 lower than in the 2024 presidential election but 19,000 higher than the record set in the 2018 midterm.

Preliminary results show Republican votes outnumbered Democratic votes by around 29,000. The initial numbers indicate that several thousand local Republicans voted for Republican candidates in local races but chose other parties in state and federal races. Local Democratic turnout also appeared to rise.

Voter registration in Randall County rose by about 2,500 since the 2024 presidential election. Potter County's registration dipped by about 150. In Potter County, the preliminary Republican-Democratic split was about 60/40, and in Randall County it was about 70/30. In past years, those splits in major races were about 70/30 and 80/20.
