Laredo Animal Care Services is hosting an event Saturday for people interested in fostering animals. The event, called "Spooktacular Foster Fun," runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the shelter on Maher Avenue.
Current foster families and people who are curious about fostering are welcome. Visitors can give treats to shelter pets, meet foster families and talk with a representative from Pets Alive Laredo.
Organizers said the event is meant to grow the city's foster community.
