NewsChannel 10 will host a flag exchange on Veterans Day in partnership with Scouting America and Gary's Heating and Air Conditioning. The event is part of a year-long celebration of America's 250th birthday, according to the station.
The exchange will run Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Texas Panhandle War Memorial, 4111 South Georgia Street, in Amarillo.
Residents can bring old flags to be disposed of properly. Each person will receive a new flag in exchange while supplies last.
