A traffic stop in Seminole on Nov. 3 led to the arrest of a driver found with stolen mail, stolen packages, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia, the Gaines County Sheriff's Office said. The deputy made the stop in the area of SE 2nd Street.

The sheriff's office identified the driver as Katherine Gibson. She was taken to the Gaines County Jail. Four Class C misdemeanor citations were issued in connection with the investigation, the office said.

Investigators contacted the U.S. Postal Inspection Service about possible federal charges. The sheriff's office said it is working with the agency and the local post office to inventory the recovered mail and packages and return them to their owners. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be considered. Anyone with relevant information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 432-758-9871.
