The Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops (TCCB) has appointed Leslie Rodriguez as its director of communications. She will lead the group's communications strategy, media relations, digital outreach and work with constituents in support of the state's Catholic bishops.
Rodriguez will handle messages in English and Spanish aimed at Catholics, policymakers, the media and the public. The TCCB said her work will help explain the bishops' priorities and the Church's advocacy on public policy across Texas.
Before this role, Rodriguez was bilingual communications manager at Leadership Roundtable. There she managed English- and Spanish-language communications for print and digital platforms, and she worked on communications for national Catholic gatherings. TCCB Executive Director Jennifer Carr Allmon said Rodriguez has a strong record in strategic communications, bilingual engagement and service to the Church.
