The Texas Department of Public Safety said a trooper assigned to the Alamo was suspended after being arrested for DWI while off duty.
Fernando Daniel Gomez was arrested by the New Braunfels Police Department on Aug. 30 for driving while intoxicated with an open container. He was off duty at the time of the arrest.
