San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama says he learned that winning does not require being overly physical with opponents. He made the comment in a teaser for his upcoming "60 Minutes" interview with CBS correspondent Jon Wertheim.

Wembanyama reflected on his aggressive play during the Spurs' playoff run last season, when the team reached the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks. He said the experience showed his limits and that players need to focus on playing basketball.

Wembanyama's comments follow several incidents during the playoffs. He was ejected for elbowing then-Minnesota Timberwolves forward Naz Reid in the neck, and he shoved Knicks guard Jalen Brunson in the face while setting a screen. Asked whether being portrayed as a villain during the Finals bothered him, Wembanyama said it did not, because he was not paying attention to it. The full interview is scheduled to air Sunday, Nov. 1, on CBS and Paramount+.
