A new gas station and convenience store is planned for Mines Road near the connection with I-35, according to a permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The planned location is a Murphy USA at 10101 FM 1472.
The permit lists construction to begin Aug. 16, 2027, and be completed by Feb. 29, 2028. The project covers 2,817 square feet and has an estimated cost of $1.1 million. It is new construction on private land. CEI Engineering Associates Inc. of Dallas is listed as the design firm.
According to the story, Murphy USA currently has four locations in Laredo. One is near the intersection of Mines Road and Killam Industrial Boulevard. The others are at 4419 S. Highway 83, 2318 Bob Bullock Loop and 10714 International Boulevard.
