A 10-year veteran of the Houston Police Department has been charged with injury to an elderly individual, according to Harris County court records. Jarrett Micah Glenn, 40, is accused of injuring his father, Cleveland Glenn, during an incident on Aug. 28, 2026. Glenn surrendered to the court Thursday morning and was released on a personal bond.

Investigators said the confrontation happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 14600 block of Woodson Park Drive during a child custody exchange. A complaint was made to the Houston Police Department's Internal Affairs Division, records show. Cleveland Glenn first described the encounter as an "altercation" but declined to pursue charges when investigators contacted him. He said it may have been a sign his son was having a "nervous breakdown."

Glenn's ex-wife reported learning about the incident the next day after she saw bruising and swelling around Cleveland Glenn's eye. According to the charging documents, Cleveland Glenn told her the argument involved disagreements over child pickup arrangements and became physical.

Glenn's defense attorney, Shelby Burns, told KPRC 2 that the charges are the result of a "coordinated smear campaign" by a former partner. Burns said Glenn is "completely innocent" of the charges.
