Polls closed at 7 p.m. on Nov. 3 in Smith County and across Texas. The Tyler Morning Telegraph said it will post live results as the Smith County Elections Office reports them.
Local races will be updated first. They include Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2, where Austin Luce (Republican) faces Dustin Gray Stephens (Democrat). In the county clerk race, Karen Bryant Phillips (Republican) is on the ballot, and Terry Morrow (Republican) is a declared write-in candidate. The city of Arp is holding a special election for an unexpired City Council term, where voters could choose up to three of four candidates: Ashley Darden, Angie N. Hines, Kyle S. Stowers and Gary McDonald.
State and federal races will be updated afterward. All results are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified, a process that can take up to two weeks.
