Local historian Roy Ortolon shared stories of early Edna on Oct. 27 at Edna City Hall. The talk, titled "Reflections by Roy Ortolon," was part of the Edna Downtown History Walk.
The history walk is a monthlong event that focuses on the city's history and its downtown business community. It features historic photographs from the Roy Ortolon Photographic Archive.
Ortolon spent decades collecting and preserving more than 6,500 historic images of Edna and Jackson County. He later donated the collection to the Jackson County Historical Commission.
The commission presented the history walk in partnership with the Edna Business Association and the City of Edna.
