Early voting in the November elections runs from Monday, Oct. 19, through Friday, Oct. 30. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The ballot includes federal offices, including U.S. Senate, state offices from governor to state representative, and county and other local races.
Area voters will also decide several school district measures. East Central ISD, Nixon-Smiley Consolidated ISD and Poth ISD have voter-approval tax rate elections. Falls City ISD and Stockdale ISD have bond proposals.
To vote by mail, the application must be received by the voting clerk in your county by Friday, Oct. 23. The Wilson County News said a list of candidates and issues, along with early voting dates, times and locations, is on page 6A. The paper also plans a Candidates' Forum in its Oct. 21 edition.
