Texas is full of people doing good work that never makes the evening news. Starting today, that's what this site is about: the volunteers, the family businesses, the congregations, the small towns, and the history that make this state what it is.
What you'll find here
Every story lives in one of six sections, and each one wears the color of a Texas wildflower:
- Texas Wins: things going right across the state
- Local Heroes: the neighbors who show up
- Community: towns, schools, churches and the events that bring them together
- Heritage: our history and the places that keep it
- Faith: faith in action
- Good Business: Texas-made and family-owned
You can also browse by region, from the Panhandle to the Gulf Coast, to find good news close to home.
How you can be part of it
The best stories we'll ever publish are the ones our readers send us.
If you know someone who deserves a story, use the Share a story form at the bottom of any page. If you'd like to write it yourself, under your own name, visit our Write for us page.
When a story makes your day, press the star at the bottom. It lets the writer know, and it helps other readers find it.
Welcome. We're glad you're here.
