Dallas police arrested 17-year-old Martin Padilla on October 20 and a 16-year-old on October 14. Both face six counts of aggravated assault, charged as discharging a firearm at an occupied building, house or vehicle. The arrests are tied to an October 4 shooting in the 1400 block of South Barry Avenue. Six people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to an arrest affidavit, a group tried to attend a party at the home after hearing about it on Instagram. Members of the group argued with security guards and were told to leave. As they drove off in a Volkswagen SUV, two people in the group opened fire on the guards, the affidavit says. A security guard told police that Padilla, who was driving, also fired. The SUV then crashed into a pole, and its occupants ran away on foot.

Padilla was later arrested at J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson. The affidavit names two other people in the group only as "50" and "Dylan." Their full identities were not available in the report.
