Holt Lunsford Commercial Investments (HLCI), a commercial real estate investment and development firm, said Preston Herold has joined the company as Managing Principal. He will lead its Bulk Warehouse Development Program and oversee large-scale industrial development opportunities.
Herold has 27 years of experience in industrial real estate development, acquisitions, asset management and leasing. Most recently he was president of Hunt Southwest, where he was recruited by the Lamar Hunt family to build its real estate development platform. During his 11 years there, he oversaw 7 million square feet of bulk warehouse projects in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and El Paso.
Before Hunt Southwest, Herold led the Central Region for Black Creek Capital's industrial REIT platforms, the announcement said. He earlier spent 11 years at Hillwood. He began his career as an analyst at Trammell Crow Company.
Hutton Lunsford, HLCI Chief Investment Officer, said Herold brings development expertise, investment discipline and leadership. He said Herold will help the company capitalize on opportunities as the program expands.
