The Eastland County Tea Party Patriots will meet Nov. 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Myrtle Wilks Community Center, in the room called "Big Dam," the group said.

The program will focus on the Library Census. The group said speaker Jerre LeVasseur, founder and chief analyst, will present. According to the group, the census is meant to show parents what is available in their school and public libraries so they can make choices for their children. The group said the effort is not about banning books, and that books parents are concerned about are spread throughout libraries.

According to the group, the Library Census provides a public record of school libraries by district and does not rate, rank or decide what is good or bad. The group said families can review what is on library shelves and decide which books are appropriate for their child's age group.
