Candidates for Uvalde County and city offices largely agreed on the need for more resources for domestic violence victims, county employees, aging infrastructure and senior services, the Uvalde Leader-News reported. The candidates spoke at an Oct. 25 candidate forum.
They differed on how to pay for those measures and how to carry them out. The Border Organization held the forum, which included county judge candidates Lalo Diaz (D) and John Yeackle (R).
