The Brownwood Kiwanis Club will hold its 74th Annual Pancake Supper today from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Brownwood Coliseum. Tickets are $10 at the door, and children 7 and under eat free with an adult. Guests can dine in or take plates to go.
Club President John Belcher called the supper the club's largest and most successful fundraiser. He said members plan to flip a few thousand pancakes and expect a large crowd after voters cast ballots. The club serves hot pancakes and sausage to raise money for kids in the Brownwood area, including through grants and scholarships to BISD graduating seniors. The funds also support youth organizations and community programs that help local families.
Bruner Auto Group is the platinum sponsor of the event. Other sponsors include Citizens National Bank, Hendrick Health, MC Bank, Pecan Bayou Nursing and Rehab, Heartland Association of Realtors, PUMPCO, Texas Bank, Barr Field Services, Western Bank, Big Country Ford, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Brown County and Brownwood Janitorial.
